College Essay Coaching

The college essay is often where strong students get stuck. They overthink, choose safe topics, or struggle to translate their experiences into writing that feels clear, authentic, and personal.

Drawing on my work with hundreds of high-school students, I provide one-on-one coaching that guides students from first idea to final draft.

I help students:

  • Identify a meaningful story and shape it into a focused, engaging narrative.

  • Plan, draft, and revise essays that have helped students gain admission to highly selective universities, including Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, the University of Chicago, and Williams College..

  • Refine diction, syntax, and voice so the writing feels precise and authentic.

  • Revise substantively, developing clarity, structure, and authority.

  • Manage their college essay work with their current busy schedule.

Executive Functioning Support

Capable students don’t always function that way at school. They procrastinate, struggle to start, lose track of priorities, or become overwhelmed.

Drawing on over two decades of experience working with middle- and high-school students across a wide range of learning profiles—including twice-exceptional learners (2E), ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, sensory processing challenges, and autism spectrum—I help students:

  • Understand how their individual learning profile shapes the way they approach tasks, time, and expectations.

  • Develop a clear, personalized system for planning and organization.

  • Learn how to prioritize, initiate, and follow through on work.

  • Adapt when plans change or assignments feel ambiguous.

  • Anticipate challenges and create strategies before problems escalate.

  • Manage emotions when work becomes demanding.

  • Review and refine their work for accuracy, completeness, and clarity

The goal is not just improved performance in the moment, but lasting habits that allow students to meet increasing academic demands with confidence.
